Week 7 – Freedom through Forgiveness

Wow! I am totally overwhelmed by the intense nature of this Master Key Alliance/ Master Key Experience! So much going on and so much personal breakthrough. Sometimes I feel it is too much and then I become aware of what is happening within me and I feel thankful for being here and doing this work.

What a Week! Forgiveness is the key. All the baggage we hold onto and carry around with us for a lifetime, it is incredible! Think of Joseph Marley’s ghost in A Christmas Carol, all the chains he was dragging, the locks and boxes of pain and dreams. When we hold a grudge or have a hurt that we won’t let go of we are chained to that thought! We chose to hold this pain and keep it alive on purpose. It really is insane don’t you think; Hi I have this dead skunk here that really bothered me but I just can’t let go of it because then I can’t tell you I have this dead skunk here that really bothers me……

This week we started out by forgiving everyone, even forgiving the hurts we may have forgot about. Let it go, become unchained – FREEDOM. Then we are reading from Og’s scroll 2 “I greet this day with love in my heart” and “I will give love to all I meet” Love is my shield. I also remembered the passage in Mk: if you bring a gift to the alter but have a grievance with your brother, leave the gift and settle with your brother. God wants you to forgive and be free from that before he will accept your gift! You can not give love if you still hold a grudge and you will never be free until you forgive and give love to all!

I am sorry, you may know this already but for me it was a big epiphany! Forgive + Love + be the observer and giving no Opinion (see previous blogs) + using the Mental Law of substitution and dual thought. Along with our new exercise of the 7 day to a new you (see the side panel on this blog and sign up!) The idea is to go a whole week without wallowing in negative thoughts!

I have just gone through 6 days and due to using all the above training and techniques I am observing people give up their happiness and joy to yell at people who don’t even know they exist! I drive a lot and I feel like the Alcoholic who, after being sober for a while, goes to a party and observes drunk people – was I really like that?!

Things that used to trigger my “pre-recorded” tirades and cause me to yell obscenities and make rude gestures simply no longer affect me.  I walk into situations which once would cause me to get very angry and think negative thoughts which now are the same as if I saw a rock on the ground or the squirrel run up a tree; it just is, it does not affect me, I have no Opinion, no heat on it, only love for people and myself. I can instantly say isn’t that interesting and change my focus to something else more conducive to my well being.

I think I may have given up needing to be right!

Well OK, lets not go too far…..

 

Enjoy life! it could be the only one you get… 

Week 6 – Its Not Hocus Pocus Its Just FOCUS

Week Six of Haanel’s Master Key System is my favorite so far! It could be due to I am becoming aware or have better understanding. It could also be that all the exercises from our Master Key Experience is starting to take effect. What ever it is this week’s lesson is to me the cornerstone of my personal journey!

Here in California they say ‘sit under a pyramid, hold crystals in your hand, and chant’ then all the things you want will come to you. Ah yeah, you go on with your good self and have a nice life, bye!

‘Thought is a product of Mind and Mind is creative, but this does not mean that the Universal will change its modus operandi to suit us or our ideas, but it does mean that we can come into harmonious relationship with the Universal, and when we have accomplished this we may ask anything to which we are entitled, and the way will be made plain.’ -Master Key System

WOW! And if you didn’t catch it, how about this “Ask and you shall receive, knock and the door will be opened to you…” But it must be in ‘Harmony’ with the Universal.

Wishful thinking does not do it. Setting goals and sitting on the side line does not do it. Having a positive mental attitude does not do it. These alone are useless, day dreams for people who never expect to accomplish their dream.

Necessities are demands, and demands create action, and actions bring about results. Until your mind is focused and your definite major purpose becomes a necessity then it will remain in the realm of wishful thinking and ever just out of reach. Aspiration, Desire and harmonious relations constantly and persistently maintained will accomplish results!

Directed attention then, gives us all the material things we have in this world. Look no further than each architectural feat where the problem was presented and thought impossible to accomplish and look – there we have it! Buildings reaching the sky, Airplanes, Rockets, Bridges and on and on. Henry Ford told his engineers to build a single block 8 cylinder engine. It was impossible they said and his reply was build it anyway! Directed attention to a single idea and we have the engines we use today. Awesome

The mind is a magnificent mechanism if we can harness it. However it is not wishing or hoping that manifests intention but focused attention on a single ideal.

This only happens with concentrated action. Setting a goal and then trying to wish it into existence calling this the “Law of Attraction” is farce. This is hard mental work but the reward is phenomenal indeed!

What happens when we apply directed concentrated attention to an idea or goal or problem, fixed on a purpose, is akin to using the magnifying glass to start a fire.  If our purpose is in harmony with the Universal and creative/constructive then our faith and desire will generate the energy needed to accomplish our aim.

If you are up to the task then sit and think of that which you want your life to become. It must be as clear as a snapshot! Focus your mind and attention on your goal and become in harmony and balance within then observe as the methods and tools you need become apparent for your advancement.

Week 5 – Hey I have an Opinion about that!

Wow!  I suppose I should say something about the week 5 of the Master Key System but this exercise for our #MKE (Master Key Experience) is just too mind blowing.

Here it is in a nutshell, Have no Opinion.

That’s it! When I want to say something I have to stop myself and “Shut the TShut upwinkie hole” as Mark J says. I must not give my opinion at all. Now for me that is especially difficult because I lecture and give my opinion for a living, which kinda overflows into my regular interactions with people on a daily basis if you know what I mean

I really didn’t know that I was so full of …..Opinions!

Opinionated or not, The objective is to become an observer of the world and of myself.

Someone crossing the road, jaywalking slowly and oblivious to the world around them staring intently into their phone, My mind starts babbling opinions about this person. The car in front of me stops and crosses 2 lanes to u turn into a parking space, oh you bet I have an opinion on them – loudly even! My wife is watching TV as I sit in the room fixing her computer for her. Man do I have an opinion about what she is watching and what is on television in general. I KEEP THE TWINKIE HOLE SHUT!

my opinion is factThen I laugh wow I have an opinion on everything and everyone 24/7 and all 1,440 minutes a day!  I Use the law of observation and detach myself from the scene looking in as an outside observer of events.

Let’s master mind here,  I eat some Ice Cream (yay! I like Ice Cream) I say or think This is good ice cream. Is this an opinion or a statement of fact?

If I say this is the best chocolate ice cream in the west then I have stated an opinion. (even if I think its a fact)

(Ok, so yes what I may be thinking about the j-walker and the lane crosser may be a fact in my mind ….. but its still an opinion.)

Result? Its a Miracle!

Stress levels go down, Heart rate normal, I am no longer involved, no longer part of or attached to the end result, no longer affected at all. I simply observe.

– Hm that person crossed 2 lanes of traffic for a parking spot, almost got hit by oncoming traffic; that person is walking across the street intent on his phone and not using the crosswalk; my wife is watching mindless trash and… oops sorry, I mean, my wife is being entertained at the moment- all statements of fact. But I do not have an opinion either way, I do not inject my personal belief or feeling into the situation and therefore have no stake in it.

Jim Rohn used to say “Don’t ask why is this the way it is, That is a waste of time and effort. Instead just be curious and say Hmm, isn’t that interesting? That some people do that.” and get on with your life. Good advice! No, that’s an opinion, better; I think that is good advice for me to follow.

To be aware of your thoughts and dissect where they come from is awesome! Being rigorous with your thinking and your speech will change your life! This exercise is priceless because it teaches me to be rigorous with my thoughts, with my speech, and makes me think before I open my …. You guessed it TWINKIE HOLE!
